yeah. i mean in all fairness, there is a Type when it comes to people who embrace the bpd diagnosis wholeheartedly which i think can be attributed to a lot of attitudes towards mental distress being so defeatist in nature, and just the sort of person who may likely be diagnosed that way.

like you said though there’s no way of knowing how anyone ended up with any sort of pd diagnosis and it’s unfair to cast a general judgement when the situations vary so wildly. i think in general people would do well to direct their ire at the individuals who are actually the cause of it
